National Secrets Chapter 3

It had been a week since the discovery and Riley was hovering around the museum, waiting for the translations on some of the older texts. The ancient Egyptian and Gaelic were giving the scholars a hard time. But, the Italian and Latin were coming along nicely.“Mr. Poole, we found something about Nico Meridius,” one of the scholars called out, looking up from the documents.“Yes?” Riley asked.“It seems that whoever wrote this, was keeping a detailed record of Meridius’ conquests, right before and after his death.”Riley smiled slightly in triumph.“His family was brutally murdered by a man named Marcus, who stole his lands and titles. Things get very confusing, though. Before his death, Meridius was General of the Roman Legionnaires. After, he was immortale. Immortal.”“Are you saying that he was still alive after he died?”“They could be saying that he was idolized after his death. But, it says here that after 432 AD, he was in Egypt. What we have here may just be a work of fiction. A story.”“But, it could also mean that vampires exist?”“I highly doubt that, Mr. Poole.”“Technically, it could mean that.”“Technically, yes. But doubtful. Vampires do not exist, son.”Riley sighed, “Ok, anything on the other man.”“Antonio Crisafi, Templar Knight. The writer claims that the drawings are his and the stories being told are about him and a Nicholas.”“It would make sense for a Knight to have information in with the treasure, right?”“Yes, but according to the other records we have translated, Crisafi was taken by Moors in 1147 and killed.”Riley was getting confused. “Things aren’t adding up.”The scholar was, too. “No, they aren’t.”“May I please have the drawings, just to look at them?”“They are on that table. We are still examining the signatures.”“Thank you.”Riley walked over to the drawings and pulled a file from his backpack. In the folder was a picture of the CSI from Vegas he got off the ‘net, some ‘Crime Stopper’ article posted on a website by one of his co-workers.“All right Nick Stokes, let’s see if you are Nico Meridius,” Riley mumbled. He carefully compared the two images. After a few moments he blinked and looked up, shocked but happy. “Oh my God!”~*~Speed had gotten word from a friend at the National Museum in DC, that some interesting texts had been found and were being translated and they needed some help with the Gaelic. Not long after that, Tony called and told him about the treasure being found. Both calls came in during a large case. And a call in the middle of shift at the lab was never good.Tony was adamant about him getting to the museum to check things out and possibly destroy any incriminating information. Add to all this, Speed’s mate and boss hovering around at all hours didn’t help any.Speed sighed and looked at his mate. “Horatio, I need to go to Washington.”“Everything all right with Tony?”“Things, well, might be hitting the fan. Someone found something that can prove that vampires exist.”“I see. How long do you think you will be gone? We have this case. Plus, I don’t want you going by yourself.”“Three days, tops. Tony will be there and you can give me a nice welcome home present when I get back.”“All right. But, if this case turns south, I will be calling you to get your ass home.”“That’s fine. They just want my input on some things. I’ll only be two hours away.”“Stay out of trouble, please?”“When was the last time I got into trouble?”“Every time we step out of the apartment.”“It has been three weeks since that thing.”“Just go so you can get back,” Horatio mumbled.“Thank you,” Speed smiled. He took his lab coat off. “Oh, and that’s black sand on the fiber,” he added, with a quick kiss for his mate.Horatio raised an eyebrow and watched the other man walk toward the exit. “Why do I put up with him? Oh, that’s right. I love him,” he muttered.

National Secrets Chapter 2

See part one for infoNational Secrets 2 Tony hit number two on his speed dial. “I hope he’s awake.”Nick groaned as his cell phone went off. “Damn it.”“Let it ring. If it’s Grissom, he’ll call the house. Go back to sleep,” Warrick muttered.Nick stared at the phone. “But, it might be important.”Warrick, knowing his mate, loosened his hold on him, who then rolled over to answer his phone.“Stokes.”“We have a slight problem.”Nick sighed, “What now, Tony?”“It’s been found.”“What’s been found, Tony?”“The Templar treasure.”“What?!”Warrick gave Nick a look at the outburst from his mate. He hadn’t been actively listening to the conversation until that point.Tony cleared his throat nervously, “Um, someone found Charlotte and the pipe. That led them to the Declaration, which was stolen. Apparently, they knew about the hidden map and cipher and they have the Silence Dogood letters. They found the glasses, read the map, found the church, and found the treasure. Don’t yell at me.”Nick took a deep, cleansing breath. “Please tell me you are kidding?”“I wish I was. The people who found the treasure also have copies of the documents and received a small percentage of the findings.”“Documents? Tony….”“I know, I’m already kicking myself, Nick.”“Ok, let’s hope they just like to look at your pretty pictures and decide not to translate the documents. Didn’t we tell you putting that stuff in with the treasure was a bad idea?”“I didn’t think I was going to live to see if found, Nick! Besides, it seemed like a good idea at the time.”“Let’s try to keep it under the radar.”“I can keep an eye or five on them. They’re in DC, so I can have Sandusky watch them. Maybe I’ll have McGee work on it, too.”“Just keep a very close on this. Please? I really don’t need this right now, Tony.”“None of us do.”“I don’t need him to be up all day, Tony! We have a shift tonight! Control the problem and call us later!” Warrick yelled at the phone.“Ok, he’s right. I’ll call you if anything happens,” Tony agreed.“Do that, please. Goodbye, Tony,” Nick said.“Bye, Nick.”Nick snapped his phone shut and placed it back on the nightstand. “Well, this could be a problem,” Warrick intoned.“You need to break this nasty habit you have of listening in on my phone calls.”“Oh, please, you know I have to.”“I know,” Nick smiled. “This is bad.”“Who would have such an obsession with history to want to translate all those documents?”“Who would want to find that treasure?”“Good point.”Nick sighed and moved closer to Warrick. “I just want, for at least a hundred years or so, for nothing to happen. Ya know?”“Yeah, but you know that won’t happen.” Warrick pulled his mate closer.“Tony’s going to keep me up about this.”“You need to sleep. Every time we try to relax, we get a case or a call or something else happens. I think I hear a vacation calling our names.”“Convince Grissom and I’m there,” Nick mumbled.“I’ll work on it. You stop worrying. Those people won’t find out about us,” Warrick vowed.Nick closed his eyes and mumbled, “For the sake of my sanity, I hope not.” And with that he finally fell back to sleep.Warrick watched his mate for a while; the stress of this new situation was rolling off the other man, even in his sleep.“I try to get him to relax and Tony has to call with this.”

National Secrets Chapter 1

Something I wrote, AU and goes off the Sylum Universe- BJ Jones Major Crossover about Vampires, Any questions about it ask me.Title: National SecretsAuthor: SarahRating: FRTPairing: National Treasure: Ben/Riley, Sylumverse: Nick/Warrick (CSI: Vegas), Tony/Gibbs (NCIS), Speed/Horatio (CSI: Miami)Disclaimer: I own nothing. Not National Treasure, not the Sylumverse. That belongs to Bev, She just lets us play with it.Warning: AU and Slash, don't like, don't read. Riley was amusing himself by looking through some of the papers the FBI had given them. All copies, of course. The originals were safely on their way to their home countries. They were written in ancient Egyptian, Gaelic, Hebrew, Latin, Italian, and a few others he didn’t recognize.“Can either of you read these?” Riley asked.“No, I don’t speak any of these languages. At least not the ancient forms,” Ben answered.“I know a bit of Italian,” Abigail said. “There is something here about ‘immortal men’.”“Like…vampires?” Riley asked.Ben rolled his eyes and spoke as if placating a child. “Riley, vampires do not exist.”“Then tell me why this drawing looks familiar?” Riley said. He held up a copy of the drawing. “Huh?”“Because you watch too much TV?” Ben tried.“This looks like that CSI who was kidnapped in Vegas a couple of months ago,” Riley stated.Ben looked at the younger man. “And how do you know about that?”“I read about it on the internet. Duh. That guy looks just like this…Nico Meridius.” Riley scrunched his face, trying and failing to pronounce the strange last name.Abigail looked at Riley and then at the drawing he still held. “How bout we get these documents properly translated before jumping to any conclusions. I mean, that CSI could just be a descendant of this man. Besides, there is no telling what kind of information we can learn from these documents.”“Like proving that vampires exist!” Riley exclaimed.Ben sighed, “Get off that kick, Riley.”Fine. I’m just saying it would be cool,” the young man pouted.~*~Tony’s plan for his day off involved watching Jethro work on his boat, maybe have some sex by said boat, and resting; not necessarily in that order. Just a nice day off after a long case that drained them both. That plan went out the window when his phone rang. After a lengthy, aggravated conversation, he slammed the phone down.“I can’t believe they found it!” Tony declared.Jethro, who had been watching his mate since the phone call began, asked, “What happened?”“That was Peter Sandusky, a FBI chosen one we assigned to protect the treasure. Seems that someone has found it and it’s all going back to its home countries. They made copies of the documents and gave these people a percentage of the treasure. This is bad,” the vampire explained.“What treasure? And why is it bad?”“The Templar knights-freemason treasure. I’ll explain it all later. I’m worried about the documents that were copied. There is a lot of vampire history in those documents. Things about the Medjai. Ardeth and Daniel’s observations and early research. Nick’s life story and part of mine. If this gets into the wrong hands….”“Calm down,” Gibbs interrupted.“I’m trying to calm down. But, you have to understand what was in this treasure. Scrolls from the library of Alexandria, papyrus notes, some of my drawings….Jethro, if they make some connections between those drawings and any of us….,” Tony left the thought hanging.Jethro put his hand-sander down and moved closer to his mate. “I’m sure that everything will be fine. If a chosen one was there, he more than likely would have picked out the incriminating documents.”“I hope so,” Tony growled. “Or I will be a very unhappy vampire for the next few year.”Gibbs sighed, “Tony, call Nick if this has you that worried.”“Oh, God! Nick is going to kill me. He didn’t want that information in with the treasure in the first place,” the older vampire cried.“Call him, tell him what happened, and then relax, cause you’re starting to get on my last working nerve. You needed this day off more than I did. Now, get before I make you,” Gibbs growled.Tony looked at his lover. “I’m not being that surly, am I?”“Surly? No. Slightly annoying? Yes. I’ll be up soon. Now, go.”“I’m going, I’m going.” Tony grabbed his cell phone and headed upstairs.Jethro watched his mate go, shaking his head. “He really needs to let things go.”

PURI...

PURITY: 95% sex, 95% substance, 95% moral [95% total]

Well done! The higher your scores, the more "pure" you are. The lower, the more you've experienced. This test was about done deeds, so your numbers will never climb. [It's interesting to think they all started at 100%.] But will your purity continue to fall? Will you OUTGROW or will you OUTDO your past experiences? It's up to you. Advisory:Don't date anyone if your moral purities differ by more than 30%. Don't run a business with anyone if your substance purities differ by more than 40%. Do be friends with someone who has less than 1/2 your sex purity. You'll enjoy their colorful company.
